Bento#5

Very simple bento today but it still took me 45mins! At least I found out why. It's not the preparation. It's the decoration. The bentos didn't quite turn out the way I'd imagine it to be and it was a last minute decision to arrange it the way you saw in the pictures. That took me some time. Look, believe me when I said I failed art. I really did.

Bento 5.1 Clement's "hearty" breakfast. What I pictured last night was I would use ketchup to write "Love" on the bread but it turned out to be really ugly. I was about to throw away the slice of bread with the bloody ketchup writing when I realised I could just turn the slice of bread around. So that's Clement's ham and cheese and cucumber and tomato sandwich with crisps, and heart shaped agar-agar.

Bento 5.2 HappyPig's "hearty" sandwich. In case you are wondering why do I always make bento for my buddy, well, HappyPig is really my best friend who will go all the way for me! She is always there for me when I need to laugh, to cry, to scream, to bitch, to eat, to shop, to talk... She's a wonderful friend and sister to me.

Bento 5.3 Mine. Ok, need I repeat myself that I failed art? *sigh* The red thingy on the heart was ketchup. I used it to wipe away the wordings on Clement's bread...

As for the agar-agar, no, I didn't make them myself. I bought a box of ready made from the fruit stall for $3.70 and used my cutters to cut out the shape. Yummy Yummy!!!

I realised one thing... I have too little varity of lunch boxes. So boring. The very important and very urgent task to do now: shop for more lunch boxes!
